Texas Sized

Every now and again, it's good for the soul to switch things up a bit and what better way than with a new look! Last week, I had Joy Williams add a little sass to my life by giving me honey blonde highlights and caramel low lights and I couldn't be happier! And to top of the color, I got the chance to be a hair model for Indique Partner Stylist Margaret Fahnbulleh and she gave me Texas Hair and I love it!

Over the weekend, I had the honor of being a hair model(once again) for Indique Hair Boutique in Houston. For this event, I kept my look ultra relaxed but pulled together with this amazingly soft and comfortable sweatshirt paired with these faux leather pants and then sassesd it up with thes gorgeous spike stilletos from Jessica Buurman!

Afternoon Dolls, I hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far ;-) 

Last weekend, I had the honor of working with Joy Williams(Indique Hair Partner Stylist) and Tracelia Coats(Boutique Manager) of Indique Hair for a Valentine's Day Styling Session held at Indique Hair Houston. Remember, earlier in the week I visited Joy Williams at her salon for my new hair extensions(here) in preparation for this glam event.

As mentioned in an earlier post (here), Indique Hair offers a wide variety of true Virgin Hair Extensions 

During the styling session of the Glam Lounge, Ms. Joy educated us on the hair of the month, Bounce Relaxed Straight, discussing the "realness" of the Bounce collection due to its additional processing in order to give the allure of a more natural African American hair texture. Then, using both a flat iron and wand we were taught how to curl our hair and the importance of giving the newly curled sections time to set by allowing them to cool before combing out for styling(definitely something I didn't know, but now I do!). 

As always, AFTER doing your hair comes time for make-up and Joy(also a MAC certified make-up artist) showed us how to contour properly and apply a natural-everyday smokey eye...which was perfect for me because contouring and is definitely one of my challenges followed by an everyday eye look that I can master).

In preparation for the event, Tracelia Coats lined the counter with Valentine's Day treats and wine, consulted with gorgeous ladies interested in trying Indique for the first time, and even gave away a tube of Bounce Relaxed Straight to the first lady through the door(and Joy Williams will no complete the install). Needless to say, the event was a definitely success! Next weekend, Indique will host an additional bloggers event and I hope to see you there! ;-)

Evening Dolls,

While waiting for our table at RA Sushi(umm, did you know that they will send you a text message when your table becomes available...high tech service...Love it) we decided to check out Z Galleria furniture that was next door. I absolutely love this store and when we decide to move, you already know where I am headed first! :-)
