Have you ever stood in the middle of your closet with a frustrated look on your face fighting the urge to scream..."I have nothing to wear!!!" This would be me on this very day and the only way to handle such a crisis is to slip into a one piece which is why I absolutely LOVE maxi dresses! This beauty was an online impulse buy a few years back that ended up being WAY to long, but isn't that why we wear towering heels and wedges...LOL! ;-)

The summer is winding down and the kiddos are heading back to school soon which means vacations will be put on hold for the next few months. To hold me over, I pulled out this old silk maxi dress from Arden B that more than reminds be of walking on the beach or strolling the streets on Puerto Rico and the Bahamas!   Sometimes, accents(like this canary yellow turban and leather tote bag) are all you need to pull off that "pulled together" look even when you actually literally just pulled something out of the closet and was having a bad hair day(or worse, just wasn't in the mood to do hair). There is just something carefree and comfortable about a simple black maxi dress an flip flops that makes everyday errands seem less mundane and hassle free...especially when the temps are reaching triple digits on a daily basis and the last thing you want to do is to be engulfed in suffocating heat! ;-)
