The summer is winding down and the kiddos are heading back to school soon which means vacations will be put on hold for the next few months. I hope your weekend was relaxed and you are ready for a productive week!  As always, hubby and I try to catch up on personal time; as well as, family time by lounging around the house on Sunday after church! I think it goes without saying...I Am Ready For FALL!!! The temps here in Texas are brutal during the summer months and often times well into what should be the Fall season, but we have broken 90 degrees as of late and I am all about embracing the cooler weather! After all, my obsession with boots is real and they sure could use a little attention have being on lock down since March/April.

Any who, there really is something unique about pairing a nude heel with just about anything that seems to add a bit of sophistication to an otherwise simple look. And these suede beauties, from ShoeMint, definitely stay in heavy rotation!

It seems the temps are finally starting to feel like Fall and I truly couldn't be more excited! I must admit that I was a bit reluctant to completely absorb the wedge sneaker trend, but now that I have I can't imagine going without them. I had the pleasure of meeting and now working with a pretty amazing new designer that is sure to make style waves here in Houston and beyond and this free flowing maxi skirt is one of her original designs and I am literally obsessed...you have no idea! Available in just about any color you could imagine, I couldn't help but ask for this mustard color...AND I ordered in emerald green, cobalt blue, and white! What can I say...my momma taught me well..."If you like it, get it in every color"...and I have seriously lived by this motto!

Karissa Lindsay fell in love with printed clothing while in middle school. In fact her first design was a pair of cloud printed pants that made quite the impression at her locker their first day out. And from there a star was born...well not exactly. Karissa strayed from her dream of being a designer for years, but after gaining a renewed sense of purpose brought on by her growing relationship with Christ, she took a leap of faith and created a small collection of uniquely printed apparel. This collection of shorts, skirts, pants, and dresses are for the woman looking to make a bold statement in her wardrobe. Each piece speaks to this Houston-based designer's love of ethnic prints, from the sari fabrics of India to the Ankara wax prints native to West African countries. The styles are fresh with the occasional nod to vintage styling, but the shapes are always simple to allow the prints to do the talking. Each piece is designed to enhance the female figure and evoke a sense of bold "I-too-can-take-on-the-world" confidence in the wearer.

On Friday, my black James Bond and I stepped out to celebrate a friend's birthday and I had been dying to wear these Zara printed trousers! Seriously, I am overly obsessed with printed pants and jogger trousers because not only are they the most comfortable thing ever...they are probably the easiest piece of clothing to style. From casual to dressy, you simply can't go wrong with a few pair for fall!. I paired these gorgeous pants with a simply white tank, nude heels and tan bag c/o Jessica Buurman. Needless to say, I truly enjoyed this simply outfit and had an amazing evening!

Happy Saturday Dolls!

On yesterday, I met with one of an amazing new designer to pick up a fierce maxi skirt(an order two more...smh) and a one of my oldest friends for a business lunch and a much need girl time chat sessions. Texas temps are definitely killer these days and called for a must-do casual look both for comfort and in order to keep cool! Needless to say, my boyfriend jeans more than give me life on days like these...especially when girl time takes you outside to enjoy the rarely felt breeze that was flowing. One of my all-time favorite bags is definitely me my Louis Vuitton Speedy 30(I have this one and the dark brown monogram...and working the white to round out my collection) because from day to night and travel to play, this is a MUST HAVE and a GO-TO fall back that is perfect for everything! :-)
