Have you ever stood in the middle of your closet with a frustrated look on your face fighting the urge to scream..."I have nothing to wear!!!" This would be me on this very day and the only way to handle such a crisis is to slip into a one piece which is why I absolutely LOVE maxi dresses! This beauty was an online impulse buy a few years back that ended up being WAY to long, but isn't that why we wear towering heels and wedges...LOL! ;-)

I am not sure why I am so drawn to black and white stripes, but there is just something classic about this combination that keeps calling my name. This "Beetlejuice-esq" jacket is perfecting for adding just a bit of something extra to a simple black and white look. I hardly ever wear shorts, but since blasting my way through P90X3(I am into week 6 now), I was feeling a wee bit sassy and thought...why not?!?!? ;-)

Well Well Well, it looks like it may just be warming up....I am definitely not complaining considering longer cooler weather can only mean that the summer months are going to be dangerously HOT!!! I came across this sweat a while back and ti pretty much speaks for itself...CHIC HAPPENS...and I just couldn't pass it up! I have worn it a few times and shared it on Instagram but it's making it's first appearance on Darnel's Desires!

Sometimes simplicity is the best policy and today is one of those types of days! It may be mid-March, but we are still muddling through a few chilly days(which can only mean that our summer is going to be one for the record books). So, I woke up and decided to go with a really simple gray look with a simple pop of color...plus, I really wanted wear these suede classic pumps that just came in!

It has been extremely cold lately, but it seems that brighter days are on the horizon and what better way to enjoy the sunlight than in a casual pair of boyfriend jeans. And, as of late, I have literally been obsessed with sweatshirts and when I came across this HOMIES on Ebay, I couldn't help but to take advantage(I got the black, pink, and orange...I said I am obsessed...lol)

If there is one thing I absolutely love(more than my gorgeous and adorable hubby) it is boots...I am literally obsessed and if I could rock knee high or over-the-knee boots all year round, I probably would! So, it comes as no surprise that I love Fall and Winter simply because of get to indulge my obsession with such ease and pleasure. 

One of my favorite shoe sites, ShoeMint, as provided the ultimate excused to indulge in a little retail therapy in preparation for the cooler temps and her name is ANN! 

Relaxed leather in black or brown with a knee high slouch and back zipper, Ann is ideal for running errands or meeting the ladies for brunch or even hitting up a few tailgating events with my own personal James Bond. I probably have way too many black boots, so I am going to probably pass on the black and skip straight to the brown. 

Outfit Ideas? Pair them with the ever trendy denim-on-denim vibe that I flip for. Or, spice up your weekend staple of black leggings and black sweater with these in brown and toss on an animal print infinity scarf and you are sure to turn heads!

If there is one thing I know for sure, it is that you can never count on Texas weather to be consistent...Fall winds in the morning and Summer heat waves in the afternoon, but I definitely love my city and state!

The other thing I know for sure is that I can't seem to get enough of joggers and jogger trousers because there is something about the banded ankle(which I strongly dislike in shirts and dresses) takes a regular pair of lounging pants and morphs them into a universally dressy or casual option for work or play! Gota love a versatile piece, right?!?!?!

Happy Hump Day Dolls!!!

 

I think it goes without saying...I Am Ready For FALL!!! The temps here in Texas are brutal during the summer months and often times well into what should be the Fall season, but we have broken 90 degrees as of late and I am all about embracing the cooler weather! After all, my obsession with boots is real and they sure could use a little attention have being on lock down since March/April.

Any who, there really is something unique about pairing a nude heel with just about anything that seems to add a bit of sophistication to an otherwise simple look. And these suede beauties, from ShoeMint, definitely stay in heavy rotation!
